The Environment

Bromley Park is a 50 bedded home for people who need nursing care and have some form of dementia. It is the longest established of Nellsar Ltd's homes and is a large attractive Victorian House with three spacious lounges - one of these is in the process of being redesigned into a brand new sensory lounge in January 2008. Being centrally located in Beckenham, near Bromley, Kent, the home is easy to visit by car or public transport
The home itself has a beautiful, large conservatory overlooking the rear gardens.
The garden is secure and has been developed into a specialist Dementia and Sensory orientated garden, ensuring residents benefit from fragrant plants and a peaceful and therapeutic environment. We have an abundance of birds and other wildlife, which the residents feed and enjoy watching.
Our home provides care for 50 residents and has a range of single and shared bedrooms, some with ensuite facilities and all rooms are linked by a nurse call system.
The home is equipped with both shower rooms and adapted bathrooms, so residents may choose on a daily basis.
Excellent catering and laundry services are provided in house and the home offers residents an extensive activity programme from Monday - Friday.

The home also arranges external entertainers on a monthly basis and the residents benefit from a visit from a PAT dog several times a week, which is hugely popular!

Bromley Park Nursing Home has a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere and residents are able to participate in monthly residents meeting to discuss issues raised, choices of meals, outings and changes to their environment. The minutes are displayed on several residents and visitors dedicated boards.

The Home Manager, Jacqui Hayward-Gant, has been at Bromley Park Nursing Home for 8 years and is actively involved in the pre-admission process and overall care of residents within the home. Jacqui has a wealth of experience in care and is always available to staff, residents and relatives.

Residents are encouraged to retain their dignity and enjoy their independence and individuality, through the availability of choice and proactive framework of care.
