Across our Care Homes, we are really passionate about the well-being of our residents and understand that nutrition and hydration are key to keeping people well.

Our Chefs work continuously to develop delicious, varied meals and regularly consult with residents to find out about their favourite flavours and dishes. They are committed to preparing fresh, home-cooked food with an emphasis on using local ingredients, as well as beneficial nutritional aspects.

We are one of the first Care Home groups to recognise the importance of nutrition for the elderly and those with Dementia. It is our mission to put your physical and mental well-being first and we have a dedicated Nutritional Therapist and ‘Nutrition Champions’ within our Homes.

Our Nutrition & Wellness Manager, Leni Wood, can provide a personal consultation to assess your health and tailor a nutritional plan in accordance with any physical ailments or specific requirements you may have, such as a need for better quality sleep.

We offer nutritious and enticing breakfast, lunch and dinner menus which are very popular with our residents. Refreshments are available throughout the day, including morning coffee and afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes.

We also prepare a colourful variety of smoothies and healthy snacks and provide ‘hydration stations’ to keep our residents well-fuelled and hydrated throughout the day.

Yes. Our Chefs are very happy to cater for special dietary requirements such as food allergies, diabetic choices or textured, puréed or liquid food diets.

Mealtimes within Nellsar Care Homes are an important event and offer a regular opportunity for socialising. Our Homes provide pleasant and spacious dining rooms and you are able to vary your seating arrangements and dine with different people as you choose.

We have a dedicated team of Dining Assistants who are there to ensure you enjoy a high-quality dining experience every mealtime. They make sure all dining areas are properly prepared and made inviting, and are on hand to help serve and support during meals.
We are proud to operate a Protected Mealtime dining environment – a dedicated protected time for residents to enjoy their meal without interruption or interference.
If preferred, room service can be provided, and assistance is always available if required.

Yes. We are always delighted to welcome guests to join you for lunch. This can be arranged for a small cost by booking at Reception.
