Every member of staff in all departments works very hard to make sure my mother is comfortable and well-fed. All of the staff are friendly with a smile and a hello each time I am there. My mother is bed bound with dementia but even new staff make sure my mother's needs are catered for.

We had a lovely afternoon with mum and the other residents at the summer BBQ. The Activities Team had worked so hard to set up the outdoor area and provide things for the residents and families to do. The food was delicious and much appreciated.

Admission process was quick, the room was redecorated, and new furniture, so surroundings were pleasant. Staff are very helpful, kind and caring towards my mother. Over the last few months, mum has settled in nicely, and dare I say, is happy and reasonably content with life, which is all I could have hoped for. I've definitely witnessed an improvement in her since she's been a resident.

Very caring staff provide fantastic care and support for mum. A great variety of activities for residents – encourages mum's social skills and has improved her confidence massively. We are very happy with the care provided for mum and any questions or queries we may have as a family are always listened to and dealt with.

Mum has been at Hengist Field for about 18 months after suffering a huge stroke. My sisters and I were really worried about her going into a care home as we all work and could not look after her at our homes. The Home is lovely, and the gardens and grounds are amazing and very well set up for family visiting. The food is fab! Carers and all staff are fantastic and go over and beyond what is required of them – 10/10!

My mother stayed at Hengist Field for three weeks respite care. The care she received was amazing! The staff were so welcoming, kind, efficient and professional. The Activity Team are all lovely and the range of activities was outstanding. Mustn't forget to mention the food; lovely choice and I was lucky to try their home-made cakes! Wonderful care home and I would have been more than happy to keep her there, but I live one hundred miles away, so I've brought her closer to where I live, but used Hengist Field as a benchmark when looking for Homes in Buckinghamshire.

My husband has been in Hengist Field Care Home for nearly three years. He has settled in well. If I feel a need to discuss any problems with the nurse, they are very helpful and aim to sort it out. All staff know my husband by name and speak to him as he goes along to the lounge. He is kindly taken to all entertainment. I am very happy he's able to be joining in.

Care for mum is good, we joined her for lunch and it was excellent. If the residents' food is of the same quality then no complaints. Mum participates in lots of activities and the team provides a great range and try to get mum involved. At times she doesn't want to do things, which is fine, but there is no lack of things going on. It must be difficult to provide activities that appeal to lots of people. Staff are always friendly and approachable.
