Residential Care Home in Maidstone
Lulworth House is a Residential Care Home in Maidstone providing residential care for up to 38 people with a diagnosis of Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The 1920’s built home is situated in a pretty leafy avenue on the outskirts of the county town of Maidstone. The Care Home has been extensively and tastefully refurbished during 2014 to provide spacious, light and airy accommodation which retains much of the building's original character and charm. The Home offers a high standard of well-equipped accommodation, some rooms having en-suite facilities and is staffed by a team of dedicated and highly skilled carers, supported by the Administrator, Activities Co-Ordinator, Housekeepers, Laundry, Onsite Maintenance Person and the Catering Team.
Lulworth House Residential Care Home residents are allowed to bring their own furniture with them when they move in, and we encourage everyone to make their room their own, with familiar personal items from home. The Home features specialist lifting and bathing equipment, lift access to all floors and wheelchair access throughout. We have a busy Activities timetable for those wishing to take part. We also organise regular external entertainers and we have our own Mini Bus to enable us to take trips out with small groups of residents. Lulworth House provides a varied, healthy and plentiful menu that is very popular with residents – catering for special diets and soft food diets.
As well as regular GP visits to the Home, residents can benefit from a range of Professionals who regularly visit the Home, including: Chiropodist, Dentist, Dietician, Hairdresser, Optician, Physiotherapist, Specialist Nurses and Speech therapist.

The cleanliness is excellent and staff have already discovered an infection and have dealt with it. A message from the Manager
Hello, my name is Teresa Franze and I am the Registered Manager of Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
Since my appointment in September 2013, we have worked together as a team to create a cohesive environment where not only the needs of each resident are met but individual wishes and aspirations are also encouraged and fulfilled.
I can truly say that the atmosphere at Lulworth House is of a fresh, vibrant and dynamic Care Home where people come to enjoy further years and experience life to the full.
To this aim we provide numerous excursions in the community and throughout the South-East region, to offer our residents the opportunity to revisit places they know, to reminisce about past memorable outings and share precious experiences from their past.
Our in-house activity programme is also very robust as the Activity Co-ordinator is an Occupational Therapist and thus organises sessions which are relevant and stimulating, as well as instigating the full participation from each resident.
At Lulworth House the residents are the protagonist and the choreographer of the lifestyle of the Home. We run monthly residents team meetings as well as weekly key working one-to-one sessions where feedback and suggestions are welcomed and worked upon. We realise that Lulworth House is a Home and thus its residents must have their say and express their preferences.
The staff team is highly qualified through a vigorous training programme which enables us to meet and exceed the national standard criteria in offering dignity in care and a personalised approach. This is based on building trust and confidence with each resident, and therefore always respecting their privacy and choices.
What makes Lulworth House special is also the ongoing input that relatives bring into the Home, via regular relatives support meetings and an open-door policy where relatives are encouraged to be a part of the life of their loved ones.
All in all, the new featured sensory garden, the Piazza Summer House accompanied by a stylish fountain which creates a natural, calming environment, the continuing activity programme enriched by external professionals, the ongoing events and parties held in the Home, makes this Home the place to be.Please feel free to call me on 01622 683 231.
