My wife has been a resident at Abbotsleigh for over 4 years. She has always been treated with dignity and respect. The staff are very kind, considerate, efficient and professional. I have never had cause to complain about the treatment my wife received and have recommended the centre to many people.

I have been very pleased with the care that my mother receives at this home. The staff are very caring and show great patience toward her. I always feel very welcome and my questions answered.
SM, daughter of resident, June 2017, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst
When first arrived was placed upstairs, he was kept in bed. Was told it was his choice. I expressed my concerns about spending too much time in bed and asked for him to be got up every day and sat in a chair with other residents, which was taken on board. After about a month he was moved downstairs. He is up every day and sat in the lounge with everyone. Care is excellent. Spent time observing staff – they are very caring and do a brilliant job. Dad always looks clean, clothes are always clean and ironed. Overall as a family, we are happy to see dad being looked after so well. Thanks to everyone at the home!
TG, son of resident, June 2017, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst.
My mother was resident at the care centre for four years and always received excellent care. My sisters and I were always kept fully informed of any health issues, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. On the day of my mother’s death, we were treated with sympathy, respect and helpfulness by all staff members and given adequate time to be alone with our mother we were then offered advice concerning legal and other necessary procedures to be adopted.
CH, son of resident, August 2016, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst
My mother has just spent six months on the residential side of the home – sadly passing away there a couple of days ago. I could not have been more pleased with our choice of home – the care that she received was first-class in a genuinely caring, family type environment, where she and all the other residents were treated with the utmost compassion and dignity. I visited my Mum on a daily basis and could see at first hand that nothing was too much trouble for the staff and that included everyone – from residential and nursing staff to cleaning, laundry, catering and admin. I see this as a huge credit to the way the home is managed by the respective team leaders in residential and nursing and of course managed overall by the very professional registered manager. The staff are exceptionally well trained and genuinely enjoy working with the elderly and this is reflected in the warm, happy ambience that you immediately feel in the home.

“My mother has been at Abbotsleigh since early in the year 2015. I believe she has been treated in a dignified manner considering her Dementia and is looked after very well. There are various activities which all residents can participate in (if possible of course) and consideration in given to other residents who do not wish to take part! The medical side of proceedings seems to be very satisfactory overall I/we are pleased with the on going situation. “
CS, relative of resident, December 2015, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst
“My mother has been a resident at Abbotsleigh for about seven years and is now in ‘End of Life’ Care. I have been a regular visitor to the Nursing Home during all this period. The facilities and staff are quite outstanding in every respect. The staff are kind, caring, helpful and considerate. My mother has had excellent care throughout the period she has been a resident. I cannot express enough thanks to all concerned.”
JU, relative of resident, December 2015, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst
“The building is light, clean and fresh. The reception is welcoming and personal. My friend who has no close relatives is the longest resident at Abbotsleigh Care Home. She looked well nourished and clean but with increasing Dementia it is impossible to know her own personal needs. I am kept informed of her condition and I have been invited to discuss her care in the past. The staff show great care for their residents.”
GC, friend of Resident, October 2015, Abbotsleigh Care Home in Kent, Staplehurst
“Loved ones can be left with the peace of mind. I would recommend this home as an excellent care home where loved ones can be left with the peace of mind they are being cared for properly.”
JP Family, January 2015, Abbotsleigh Care Home.
“Abbotsleigh was certainly the best choice for my Father. From the day my father arrived at the Care Home he has felt completely safe and at home. His feelings about a Care Home were negative a few months before but since he has had to go there he has settled with the help of extremely caring staff. He is always commenting on how spoilt he feels and loves all the attention. Whenever we visit we always find all the staff to be very attentive and friendly. Abbotsleigh was certainly the best choice for my father. What could have been an extremely unsettling time for my father and our family, Abbotsleigh have made the transition all the more easier. Thank you.”
DC Family, December 2014, Abbotsleigh Care Home.
“My Mum has settled well and seems happy. I have found the level of care very high at Abbotsleigh and I have been very pleased. All the staff I have met are very helpful and work hard.”
AS Family, December 2014, Abbotsleigh Care Home.
“Staff are very dedicated, compassionate, professional and efficient. Continue with the excellent work already being carried out. The residential area has obviously been given considerable thought as it is well laid out with staff able to control all aspects from their location. Seats are arranged logically and able to accommodate all the residents requirements. Visual aids are located strategically so all have access to them. There is ample space for individual or communal activities. Staff are very dedicated, compassionate, professional and efficient.”
