Recreation and Leisure
What typical weekly activities can I expect?
- Sports such as mini golf, skittles, seated exercise and dance classes
- Creative groups including arts and crafts, baking, knitting, woodwork and gardening
- Traditional games such as quizzes, bingo and puzzles
- Therapeutic sessions including sensory and reminiscence groups
As well as these activities, our residents are always encouraged to remain active and pursue their own personal interests including painting, music, reading, word searches and crosswords.

Of the activities on offer, which might appeal to people with Dementia?
interactiveMe ¬– A personal digital profile designed around a resident which contains their favourite photos, music, audio and text which enables care staff and family to engage with them in the most meaningful way.
Sensory rooms – Some of our Homes have specially equipped sensory rooms, which use light and bubble tubes, tactile materials, projectors and sounds to help soothe and relax residents. This can be particularly beneficial to those with Dementia.
Daily Sparkle – The Daily Sparkle is a reminiscence newspaper designed to provide stimulation and interest for older people and those living with Dementia. We have a subscription to The Daily Sparkle in all our Homes and copies are circulated for residents to share and enjoy together.
