We enjoyed a fun calendar of activities here last week at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
On Monday our lovely resident Valerie went out for lunch with her husband and our Recreation and Well-Being Champion, Aga. They really enjoyed visiting The Pippin together for some hearty ‘pub grub’ and were treated to beautiful blue skies on their walk!
Later on in the week, we took some of our residents for a shopping trip to Maidstone town centre to get some seeds for gardening. We took a welcome stop in Marks and Spencer for a coffee and some scrumptious scones!
We put our seeds to good use at the weekend and got busy planting flowers and enjoying a spot of indoor gardening together.
On Saturday afternoon, we loved watching the Grand National and getting involved in choosing our favourite horses. We bet for the horses and had so much fun together. Congratulations to our winners – May (1st place), Pauline (2nd place) and Doreen (3rd place).
We also held our Cinema Club during the week, which is always very popular amongst our residents. We screened ‘Chicago‘, with snack and drinks, which went down a treat with everyone.
