On Thursday 24 May we took a trip with some of our residents from Abbotsleigh Care Home to Pets at Home in Aylesford. We had a great time looking at the cuddly bunnies, hamsters, rats, degus and colourful fish!
One of the staff chatted to us about their rehoming section and said that the animals were given away to good homes in return for a donation. We were very tempted to take home two degus who needed a new home!
Afterwards we visited a nearby Nandos. We had told them we would be coming and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They made sure we were all well looked after and we had coffee and a very nice carrot cake.
We are planning a meal out soon for some of our residents who enjoy spicy food.
Our mini bus ride was also great fun – and we had such a nice outing, were a little late back for supper!
