The Abbotsleigh Care Home team were delighted last week to receive a very tasty reward – a box of delicious ‘interactiveMe’ decorated cakes to enjoy.
The team were sent these from Sam Dondi-Smith, founder of interactiveMe, to celebrate being his ‘Care Home of the Month‘, in appreciation of their hard work in integrating iMe at Abbotsleigh as a valuable resource for their residents and families.
InteractiveMe is an online tool used to create bespoke memory boxes. A resident can store personal photos, music, videos and stories all about their life on their interactiveMe profile and this provides staff with a rich source of person-centred information and talking point ‘prompts’.
Abbotsleigh have embraced interactiveMe at their Home and see the unique part it plays in helping to give their residents a sense of individuality and dignity.
Well done to the team for their dedication to this technology, which is really helping to make a difference to the lives of those they care for.
