We’ve been enjoying lots of one-to-one time with our residents this week at Abbotsleigh Care Home, listening to music and chatting, and enjoying crafts activities.
We had a Zumba session with Donna, which is always lively and uplifting for our residents, who enjoy dancing and throwing our pompoms around to music!
We took a lovely trip out to Millbrook Garden Centre and Café for a spot of lunch and a walk around the garden centre to browse the Easter decorations and gifts.
Tickled Pink Productions came to visit us and put on a fabulous theatre show called ‘Musical Wonderland’, which filled our Home with music and smiles. They group are so involved with our residents and always give a great performance.
Our resident Pearl enjoyed celebrating her 89th birthday on Wednesday 10 April. Her family visited and she had cards, presents and an amazing rich chocolate birthday cake!
We’ve been enjoying lots of craft activities this week, both for Easter and our upcoming ‘Bond with me’ event.
Poppy’s Nephew, baby Harry, visited us this week, as well as Esme’s granddaughters. This brought so many smiles, as they played in front of our residents and with them, which was great fun.
