This week at Hengist Field Care Home we’ve enjoyed a variety of entertainments and activities.
A particular highlight was a visit from singer ‘Storm King’, who delighted us with his fabulous rock and roll repertoire, performing songs by artists such as Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis. Some of our residents took to the floor and enjoyed dancing and singing along.
Residents chose to make quiches at their Cookery Club during the week and enjoyed creating and then tasting what they’d made. Delicious!
We had celebrations a-plenty too! Two of our staff team received our ‘Employee of the Month’ Award for their hard work and commitment to their roles – our Housekeeper Sharon and Receptionist Lindsey. They were both delighted to be presented with vouchers and flowers, and we were all so pleased to celebrate their success with them.
One of our ladies also celebrated her 90th birthday with us this week and she was thrilled with her beautiful iced birthday cake.
