Our residents at Woodstock Residential Care Home have been getting ready for Australia Day this week.
Using a selection of arts and crafts materials, they’ve enjoyed making ‘hugging koala’ decorations for our tables.
Australia Day is the official national day of Australia, celebrated annually on 26 January. The day marks the anniversary of the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet of British ships at Port Jackson, New South Wales, and the raising of the Flag of Great Britain at Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.
We’re looking forward to celebrating the day together at our Home later this month.
