Residents stay young at heart
Woodstock Residential Care Home residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon playing beach ball games with a small group of children who came to visit the Home on Thursday 9 August. Even without the company of the children, ball games are a firm favourite among residents here, so this was a real winner!
Interaction between the elderly and young children is mutually fun and beneficial. Often, children enjoy being the focus of the adults’ attention, plus the excitement of playing a group game is very rewarding. If can also help the little ones grow in confidence.
Likewise, elderly residents truly delight in the company of children because they have so much energy and boundless enthusiasm. Children bring a lot of joy to our residents and we look forward to seeing them again soon.
