A fantastic ‘Bond With Me‘ Event in support of the Alzheimer’s Society
We got dressed up and rolled out the red carpet on Saturday 18 May 2019 here at Abbotsleigh Care Home, all in aid of a special Alzheimer’s Society fundraiser event.
Themed around James Bond, we were aiming for a message from our residents to staff, families and friends – come and ‘Bond With Me’.
We started the night with dancing. Recreation and Well-Being Manager Viv took centre stage on the dance floor and really got the party started!
Saxophonist Michael Lack gave a wonderful live performance for us and we were well entertained with Casino games throughout the night. The evening also included a raffle, with Colin Ruddock and David calling out the numbers and names on the raffle tickets.
The food and drinks flowed all evening and it was a fantastic atmosphere with lots of laughter and smiles in our Home.
We’ve had such positive comments from the relatives who attended and had a super time with their loved ones.
But, most importantly of all, the event was an amazing fundraising success! From selling entry tickets beforehand and at the door, as well as raffle tickets, we raised a massive £339!
We are delighted to say that our Managing Director, Martin Barrett has matched the amount we raised, to bring our fundraising total to a wonderful £678! How fantastic!
