We celebrated Remembrance Day in style at St Winifreds Care Home; our lounge was full of poppies, created by several of our residents and we also had a mini Cenotaph monument which was kindly made by John Green, our Maintenance Man.
Swingtime Sweethearts joined us for an afternoon of wonderful musical entertainment. The two lady singers were amazing and looked superb in their forces uniforms.
They interacted so well with all of our residents, which they loved. There were a few tears, but also lots of laughter, fun and reminiscence.
We finished the afternoon off with a drink and a delicious buffet. It was wonderful to share such a special time together.
