Our residents had some fun with food recently, when we made chocolate marshmallow lollipop characters here at Meyer House Care Home. We put 2 marshmallows onto a stick and then covered them in melted chocolate, with a pair of eyes to finish. Great fun and tasty too of course!
We also got busy making bird feeders for our feathered friends, using gingerbread men and heart shaped cookie cutters. Our seed feeders will look great hung up in our garden and will no doubt prove popular with all our visiting birds.
We were lucky this week to receive a wonderful raffle prize – a signed Charlton Athletic football – which was kindly donated to us. We will be holding our raffle on Friday 9 November and money raised will go to our Residents’ Fund and pay for an outing and treats!
A highlight of the week was when Dolly Parton paid us a visit! Entertainer Jamie Steen brought lots of laughter to our Home with his Dolly Parton tribute act. Dressed to impress, he dazzles us all with his unforgettable performance!
