On Wednesday 5 September some of our ladies here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home wanted to pick some flowers from the garden. So our Recreation and Well-Being Lead, Vira, took the ladies out into the gardens and picked some beautiful flowers.
One of our residents Margaret suggested that we make some flower arrangements for the dining tables – which all ladies agreed – so that is exactly what they did!
Once finished the ladies expressed how much they enjoyed the activity, especially Margaret who said, “I thoroughly enjoyed doing this. As you know, this is what I used to do for a living, so thank you for letting me continue my work”.
