We’ve had another great week of variety here at Abbotsleigh Care Home.
We enjoyed making some trays of cupcakes together, which we baked and enjoyed the following day – they were delicious with a nice cup of tea!
We continued making lavender bags, which we started last week. We all loved the smell of lavender in our Home during this activity!
Our residents loved having a visit from Maggie the dog, who spent a morning with us being cuddled by all our ladies and gents. Maggie had such a lively spirit and we all enjoyed the happiness she brought. We look forward to her returning to see us soon.
A highlight of the week was a wonderful performance from ‘The Southern Strummers ukulele band’ who played an amazing set of classic songs for us to enjoy. Our residents danced, tapped and sang along – it was a super atmosphere!
As always, we’ve had plenty of one-to-one time with our lovely ladies and gents, reading the papers, playing games, watching films and completing crosswords. We all enjoy socialising together over a cuppa!
