Here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home we are very fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with the children and staff at Cece’s Nursery.
We welcomed them for a morning visit to our Home on Thursday 9 May. We had a fantastic time with the children – enjoying crafts, parachute games, puzzles, golf and singing. The little ones certainly keep us active! The boys and girls particularly loved some illuminous feather boas and wore them with pride for much of the session! Our residents and children love these shared times and it is truly a joy to see the smiles and happy interactions in our Home.
On Friday, two of our ladies went bowling at our nearby centre called ‘Hollywood Bowling‘ in Maidstone. They were joined by our little friends from Cece’s Nursery and both ladies and children had a great time!
The ladies finished the outing with a lovely meal at Frankie and Benny’s. Hearty fish and chips were on the menu which went down very well, after all the excitement! Anna – one of the ladies who went on the outing – was our big winner last week. Not only did she win at bowling, but at bingo too! Well done Anna!
This month, we’ve also started our very popular Namaste sessions, which aim to promote calm and relaxation in our Home, through therapeutic hand and foot massage.
We also held a church service during the week, which many of our residents participated in and very much appreciated.
