We took a group of our residents from Lukestone Care Home to Capstone Farm Country Park in Chatham on Wednesday 13 February to make the most of the bright weather.
Capstone Park covers 114 hectares of former farmland set on the North Downs. It boasts a variety of habitats within the park, including ancient woodlands, old orchards, a freshwater lake, meadows and hedgerows.
Our lady and gents really enjoyed watching and feeding the swans, ducks and seagulls around the lake waters and it was great to get out in the fresh air.
After we’d built up an appetite, we visited Dobbies Garden Centre for a very tasty fish and chip lunch, stopping off at a Valentine’s Day display before heading to the restaurant.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the outing, especially as it was such a beautiful sunny day.
