On Friday 1 March we celebrated St David’s Day with our residents here at Lulworth House Residential Care Home.
With St David in mind, we arranged a selection of themed activities:
- Arts and crafts, including colouring St David’s Day pictures and making paper daffodil decorations for our dining room
- Flower arranging, using daffodils (of course!) to decorate our communal areas
- Cooking and baking when we made leek and potato soup and bread to go with it for our afternoon tea. It was so yummy!
To top off the day we held a quiz about Welsh culture and St David after lunch, which was very interesting and certainly tested our knowledge!
