Macmillan Cancer Support big cheque presentation
The Meyer House Care Team and Gill Redsell (Manager) were crowned Fundraising Champions yesterday, 7 November, as Martin Barrett (Managing Director) and Viv Stead (Recreation & Well-Being Manager) presented them with a trophy and champagne for their amazing fundraising efforts.
Nellsar’s 13 Care Homes embarked on a group fund-raising initiative in September for Macmillan Cancer Support, as part of their annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ campaign. With a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party theme, the Meyer House Care Team raised £513.40 of the total £2,195.51.
Andy Gault, Area Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, made a trip to the Home in Erith and gratefully received the awesome donation while posing for photos.
Meyer House Care Home truly are fundraising champions and the team at the Home have raised almost £3,800 in total, for charities including the Fire Fighters’ Society, Macmillan Cancer Support, the Alzheimer’s Society and their own Residents’ Fund.
