We had a brilliant day on Monday when we welcomed children from Cece’s Nursery to celebrate National Teddy Bear Day with us here at Lukestone Care Home.
National Teddy Bear Day honours the history of one of childhood’s favourite toys – a lovely reason to celebrate a beloved childhood friend!
The children enjoyed doing some colourful card-making with our residents, who loved helping them with the trickier cutting parts.
For lunch, the youngsters (with their teddies of course) sat down for a wonderful tea party with sandwiches, crisps, cakes and biscuits. We are pleased to report the teddies were very well behaved at the table!
We all really enjoyed hosting the children and their teachers. They bring such a lot of joy into our Home and are always great fun.
Karen presented each child with a special Teddy Bear certificate for day. We look forward to seeing them again soon.
