Sports Day inspiration
Inspired by the success of last year’s I Am Team GB ‘Nation’s Biggest Sports Day’, our Homes once again got involved this year with running their own sports day events for their residents across Nellsar on Thursday 20th August.
Nellsar’s Recreation and Well-being Manager Viv Stead led the way, by encouraging residents and staff to get involved;
“Are you ready to show us all how lockdown fit you are?! This is a great fun day for both residents and staff, so get the eggs and spoons out and 3 legged races to the ready. I’ll be sending out a few little challenges! Have the best day; fresh air, exercise and fun, what more can you ask for?”
A range of different events
The day brought some lovely weather with it, so our residents made the most of their gardens for some of the events, and really got involved with the activities which included hook a duck, target games, egg and spoon and even a lively staff sack race!
The day brought so much joy and fun, and Viv popped it to some of our Homes to check out their sports events and enjoy the atmospheres.
Prizes and photos
Prizes were awarded for Manager involvement and best photographs. As you can see from the photos of the day below, it really was a ‘winning’ day all round!
