Celebrations galore
The latest issue of the Nellsar Care Homes group newsletter marks our 15th issue and it feels very celebratory! Starting off with a Q&A with three of our long-serving staff, we capture a bit of what makes our Nellsar Care Homes such great places to work, with a heartening insight into the personalities among our staff and residents.

The ‘Corporate News’ in this issue features an update on our latest OSCE Nurses to achieve their NMC registration – congratulations Selna, Athulya, Lijimol and Asmita! And you’ll catch a couple of news bites on the charities we are proud to support, including Tennis-Talents and St Mungo’s.

We’re into exciting times with our Nutrition and Wellness staff across our group – hear from Leni Wood (Nutrition and Wellness Manager) on our successful staff developments and new Nutrition Leads and Champions. Our Head of Catering Services – Adrian Silaghi – brings us news of recently promoted Head Chef Rijo at Bromley Park Care Home, along with a stunning spread of food photos from some of our Homes.
From the Homes
Our staff teams made special efforts to make Nutrition and Hydration Week extra fun and yummy for our residents this year, with food and drink themed days throughout the whole week – 13-19 March. From mocktails and food tasting sessions to drinking games and live entertainment, our ladies and gents had a ball!
We’re delighted to showcase a few of our centenarians in this issue, including their advice for a long and happy life. And we are pleased to feature the thoughts of seven of our staff in the #ShareWhyYouCare social media campaign as to why they entered into the care industry and what it means to them to care for our residents every day.
