Care Awards Success
This edition features news of our recent successes at the National Association of Care Catering Awards, where our talented Lulworth House Residential Care Home team were shortlisted for Care Establishment of the Year, and Princess Christian Care Home were thrilled to win the Catering Team of the Year category. Princess Christian’s End-of-Life Care Team were also shortlisted in the Team of the Year – Large Provider category at this year’s Surrey Care Awards in November.
Learning and Development
Our Learning and Development Manager Marisa Spice presents an inspiring update in this issue where she covers the graduation day of Loose Valley’s Manager Diana Serban, along with news on our recently qualified Nurses and Bromley Park’s Nursing Team plus the apprenticeship achievements of one of our team members at Sonya Lodge.

The people who work for Nellsar create the very essence that is our sense of family, community and all round support for everyone we care for. We are really pleased to have welcomed three new managers to our team in recent months and we took the opportunity to ask them all a few short questions so we can get to know them!

With community and social sustainability being such an important part of our lives, our Care Homes’ focus on fostering links with their local communities is key. This time we cover those of The Old Downs Residential Care Home and learn about their connections with local churches, dance and music groups, pet therapists and their furry friends, and nearby attractions.
