We are incredibly proud of our talented Lulworth House Residential Care Home team for being shortlisted for Care Establishment of the Year and of Princess Christian Care Home for having won the Catering Team of the Year category at this year’s National Association of Care Catering Awards (NACC).
These prestigious awards celebrate individuals and teams that epitomise excellence, innovation, dedication and outstanding contributions within the Care Catering sector, and a special gala awards dinner took place on Thursday 3 October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham to celebrate achievements across the sector.
Our Nourishment and Social Wellness Coordinator at Lulworth House Katja, accompanied by Home Manager Catherine Singh and Operations & Compliance Manager Torie Sabbarton, accepted the certificate on behalf of the Lulworth House team and is incredibly proud of their achievement:
“We were very excited and honoured to be a finalist for Care Establishment of the Year. We work hard to ensure person-centred care across Lulworth House, and I am privileged to have been able to support both our Catering Team and our Care Team to ensure our residents get the food and drink at the standard they deserve. What a night at the Awards! It was so glitz and glam and everyone looked so lovely. It was wonderful to be there with the Princess Christian Team. Cosmin works so hard to ensure such a high standard, and the team have done a fantastic job! We had such a lovely time and it shows that Nellsar is a family when you can meet people from another Home for the first time and feel a bond with them and share their joy for winning their award. We will be back to try again next year!”

“I’m absolutely ecstatic to have celebrated with Team Lulworth at the NACC Awards; what wonderful recognition of the positive hard work undertaken by Catherine and her team. The focus of nutrition is driven by the realisation that good food and healthy diet improves mental health and general well-being, health outcomes and brings people together. Katja is inspirational in meeting person-centred nutritional needs, working within the Catering Team to develop dishes to provide tasty foods and expand choice. I am so proud of the team at being finalists for such a prestigious and recognised award.”

Head Chef Cosmin, accompanied by Princess Christian General Manager Mario Taherian, Operations & Compliance Manager Silvia Barret, Head of Catering Services Adrian Silaghi, and Dining Specialist Adelina Abraham, accepted the award on behalf of his team – Anoop, Sheen, Catalin, Eduard, Graham, Cristian, Rinu and Jiwan – and is delighted with their collective achievements this year:
“Here at Princess Christian we are delighted to win the Catering Team of the Year 2024. For us it’s the crowning recognition of our year’s work – our commitment, the challenges we’ve overcome and our continuous development throughout. It’s a huge achievement. I’m very proud to be the head of such a remarkable and talented team, and I would like to thank each of them for their hard work. I’d also like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us during the year, from management and colleagues, to residents and their families.”
