Princess Christian Care Home retains Gold Investors in People accreditation

We are delighted to announce that Princess Christian Care Home has once again been awarded an Investors in People (IIP) Gold accreditation.

The team are very proud to have retained their Gold ‘Advanced’ accreditation this year, which is a wonderful achievement, recognising all their hard work.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

For organisations to be awarded with the Investors in People accreditation, they must undergo a rigorous assessment. The IIP sent out an online survey to all Princess Christian staff and carried out staff interviews. They also undertook a detailed tour of the Home and carried out an in-depth analysis of their strategic business and information documents.

Home Manager Mario Taherian was praised in the IIP’s report for providing a detailed insight into Princess Christian and speaking with real ‘pride and passion‘ about the continued journey of the Home.

The report highlighted some of Princess Christian Care Home’s key strengths:

  • Staff act in line with shared values, which are simple and clear
  • Staff feeling trusted, involved in the work and able to make decisions
  • The Home has created a culture where people feel trusted to get on with their work
  • Staff feel empowered and take ownership for what happens
  • Teams work closely together and support each other across all the units.

The accreditation lasts for the next three years and, in line with IIP’s recommendations, the Princess Christian team will continue to look to make improvements in people management on an ongoing basis.

Huge congratulations to the staff team for this important achievement.
