Along with the rest of the country, we had our bunting hanging and our fascinators on here at Bromley Park Care Home, as we settled down with a good cup of tea to watch the Royal Wedding.
Our residents loved the ceremony and pointing out the wonderful dresses and suits on show throughout the day. We had lots of smiles and cheers for the happy couple.
In the afternoon we held a Food Festival; inviting staff and families to cook food that is traditional to them, so we can learn more about each other’s cultures.
We had a great afternoon with food in the sun! We had curry, swordfish, mac & cheese and plenty more from around the world.
Everyone taking part donated £5 which will be going to charity, as part of Dementia Awareness Week starting on Monday 21 May.
