The sun really was on our side on Saturday 3 August for our annual Hengist Field Care Home Summer Fete. Thankfully, it was a wonderful warm day with beautiful sunshine but not too hot. Residents, their families and friends all shared a great day.
The crowds browsed stalls a plenty, and enjoyed old-fashioned favourites including Hook-a-duck, Splat the Rat, Tombola and a Prize Raffle, to name a few. Our younger visitors also enjoyed a Bouncy Castle!
Cristian and Alin added their own flavour with their culinary skills on the BBQ again, which was lovely. We also had live entertainment from Bruce Winters who donated his fee to our charity – The Seeing Dogs Alliance. We raised a total of £642.
