My Mum was cared for in Meyer House, Erith from March 2015 until she sadly passed away in September 2015. I found the home to be clean and there were plenty of activities for the residents should they wish to participate. There was always a calming atmosphere within the Home and there was a variance of ages within the staff members which the residents seem to like. A few of the staff who work there understand the predicament that family members find themselves in when having to choose to place an elderly family member into care as they have been there themselves. Some of them chose to work at Meyer House having visited their family member who was already a resident. On the night my mum passed away I was grateful for the care and support that was shown to me and thankful that I had the carers to turn to for support – to be honest I don’t think I could have been there without them. They know who they are.
