Such respect, dignity and genuine compassion…

Our Dad was in Hengist Field for the last three weeks of his life. Although Hengist was not our first choice, we are just so glad that he went there. The care and kindness he received was outstanding. Every member of staff that we came into contact with treated him with such respect, dignity and genuine compassion. When we had to leave him at the end of our visits, it was a true comfort to know that he would be taken care of in this way. Similarly, the sympathy and consideration the family were shown, was deeply appreciated – nothing was too much trouble, and any potential queries were pre-empted or dealt with immediately. At the end, all the staff enabled us to be with him, yet maintained dignified respect and gentle presence, supporting all of us through a significant and emotional time. It was obvious that they cared about Dad too. We would thoroughly recommend this facility.
