On Saturday 19 May we celebrated the royal wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
We enjoyed a ‘royal picnic lunch’ with a variety of food and beverages on the menu, while some of our ladies and gents watched the wedding coverage on the television.
Some of our residents’ families came to watch and join in too. They enjoyed waving flags and trying on the fancy face masks we bought especially for the occasion.
Edna expressed what a ‘magical day’ it had been and Kathy said “oh I just love a wedding!”.
What a great atmosphere! A wonderful day was had by all.
