We have recently bought some therapy dolls for our residents here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.
Our ladies love to hold and cuddle the babies, which are very lifelike. They enjoy taking care of them and are calmed and comforted greatly by their presence, which is lovely to see. One of our ladies was very attentive to her little baby, ensuring his dummy didn’t fall out!
Some of our ladies have also been busy in our garden, adding new plants to our raised bed planters. They had a lovely time together, enjoying the fresh air and arranging the plants carefully. We love to encourage our keen gardeners and have been inspired by the upcoming ‘Nellsar’s in Bloom’ festival.
We’ll look forward to watching our little plants thrive.
