Celebrating Excellence in Care: The GSF Conference & Awards 2025
On Friday 26 September 2025, the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Conference and Awards Ceremony took place at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, uniting the UKs very best health and social care providers.
The Gold Standards Framework is the UK’s leading training and accreditation programme for Care Homes, focusing on quality of life for people nearing the end of their life. The scheme enables teams to deliver personalised, coordinated care with dignity, compassion and respect, providing peace of mind to both residents and their families.
Nellsar team members attended the event to represent Bromley Park Care Home in Bromley, Loose Valley Care Home in Maidstone and Meyer House Care Home in Erith – all of whom successfully achieved GSF accreditation, earning the benchmark award which lasts for the next three years.
Beth Fernandez, Quality & Compliance Manager:
“Meyer House was proudly represented by our Home Manager Libby, Clinical Lead Jibila, and Head of Activities and GSF Champion Lisa. Bromley Park was represented by Clinical Lead Monika and Clinical Lead Rachel. Although Loose Valley couldn’t send a delegate, we ensured they were represented on their behalf. The event welcomed over 400 delegates, and a particularly moving moment was Jibila’s special participation – she shared a heartfelt story highlighting the impact of GSF implementation at Meyer House. It was a truly humbling and empowering experience to be part of such a meaningful gathering. We are incredibly proud of our team at Nellsar – not only for their hard work and dedication, but for achieving such important recognition that they truly deserve. Their commitment to excellence continues to inspire us all.”

Speaking about the achievement, Glenda Osmotherly, Nellsar’s Director of Operations:
“This is a brilliant achievement and a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our teams. The GSF award reflects how exceptionally well-managed these Homes are – and, most importantly, the difference that makes to our residents and their loved ones. Countless people will benefit from care that is not only clinically skilled but also delivered with empathy, understanding and compassion. What an amazing difference our team members make every day, they should feel extremely proud.”
We are incredibly proud of our team at Nellsar – not only for their hard work and dedication, but for achieving such important recognition that they truly deserve. Their commitment to excellence continues to inspire us all.
For Nellsar, these recent accreditations reflect not just a successful assessment outcome, but a continuation of a long-standing commitment to excellence across our 13 Care Homes. This recognition builds on our ethos of providing not only safety and clinical expertise, but also a culture of compassion, comfort and respect that underpins every stage of care.
