Valentines love at Loose Valley Care Home

We celebrated Valentines Day with chocolates, roses and music here at Loose Valley Care Home.

We bought 24 red roses and tied them to white love hearts cards for each of our residents. We decorated them with love heart gems and wrote names on each rose, to make our residents feel special.

And they really did feel special – one of our ladies, aged 91, said she had never had a single red rose given to her, so she was overjoyed with it and the chocolates we gave her.

Valentines Day with Barry Barton

We were delighted to welcome Barry Barton to our Home to entertain us on Valentine’s Day. Barry is father to Paula, one of our Recreation and Wellbeing Champions – so it was lovely to make it such a family affair!

Barry sang us a selection of love songs, along with some wonderful wartime singalongs, which made the morning so special. At one point Paula got up and danced with Alan, to the song ‘I Love You Because’, which was beautiful.

Our residents and guests enjoyed strawberry and white chocolate truffles, mini tea cakes and chocolate buttons, presented with heart shaped napkins and a nice cup of tea!

It really was a happy Valentine’s Day at Loose Valley!
