We celebrated VE Day on Wednesday 8 May here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.
To mark the occasion, Lynda our Activities Co-ordinator did a talk about how our residents were affected by the wars.
We have some residents who were in the RAF and one who held quite a high position, so we all enjoyed engaging with the discussions and reminiscing about the wartime.
We also created some VE Day displays, featuring unions jacks and wartime images, to bring a real flavour of the day to our Home.
