“Congratulations Vira – you’re a star!”
On Wednesday 12 September Vira, our Recreation & Well-Being Lead here at The Old Downs Residential Care Home, received the much-coveted award – Employee of the Month.
Our Home Manger Caroline felt that Vira deserved this award for consistently striving to keep our residents thoroughly entertained, especially with her singing! Vira is a real asset to the team – she never lets the residents or her colleagues down and she always brightens up the day whenever she’s here!
Vira always works very hard in trying to find a variety of ways to entertain our residents, whom have a mixture of abilities and needs. She arranges fun activities, everyday, that our residents love.
As a thank you for her hard work, Home Manager Caroline presented Vira with a bouquet of flowers and vouchers, which she received along with a well-deserved round of applause.
