interactiveMe
A reminiscence and person centred care tool
At Nellsar, we constantly go the extra mile to make sure our Care staff have in-depth knowledge about each of our residents so that the care they provide is tailored to the individual. With this in mind, we have introduced interactiveMe (iMe) into many of our Homes – bespoke online Memory Boxes for elderly people and people living with Dementia which help improve their relationships and reduce any feelings of isolation.
iMe creates a personal online profile for an individual, turning their story into a digital memory box containing favourite photos, music, audio and text. This enables care staff and family members to prompt and engage with their loved ones in the most meaningful way.
Each of our Homes with iMe has a number of tablets which staff use throughout their daily routines; this could be playing somebody’s favourite music, looking at their family photographs or just having a chat about the past. Every member of staff has been trained to use iMe and their residents’ profiles, including Housekeeping Assistants, the Chef and Home Managers, so the whole Home can be involved.
