We would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Meyer House for their love, care and support to my mother/grandma in her final few weeks and days. We are eternally grateful for the dignity and love given to her during her end-of-life stay, and we know she was looked after, kept pain-free, included in the activities when she felt able, and ultimately loved by all the staff. My mother was brought from hospital to Meyer House on 18 June for end-of-life care. When I visited that day, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. My mum's room was bright and airy. I was kept up to date about my mum's condition. Unfortunately, due to my mum being unable to drink or eat, she passed away three days later. I was informed immediately about mum's passing. Many thanks to all the staff who were involved in the care of my mum.

Friendly staff, nice people, excellent service, I'm very happy with their care, very recommended my mum is comfortable and eating more and drinking more, which is a relief. Her ankle is a concern with the blisters, but I did see the nurse for a certain cream to use. Other than that everything is excellent.

The experience for myself and my father so far has been welcoming, caring and very understanding. I cannot believe how quickly my father has settled into Meyer House Care Home, this can only be because of the staff's positivity and patience with my father. He is able to be himself and continue with using his independent skills. He has enjoyed the company of the many lovely, caring staff. He enjoys the food cooked every day and I have had lunch with him here. It was very nice. I will be having more lunch dates!

I am writing this review on behalf of my dad who had been a Resident here for nearly two years. We were having a conversation on Father's Day chatting about his room and him playing his harmonica and how they keep it safe for him. He said “I am very happy here cos I have everything I need, good food and the girls look after me.”

Every time I come to the Home, I am made to feel very welcome by all. I always comment on the displays and the work the entertainment crew do, they never leave anyone out and they do an amazing job keeping spirits high. If I or my parents need to go into a Care Home, I would choose Meyer House above any other. I work in a pharmacy and when people come in whose loved ones need care, I recommend Meyer House. Can't praise the team enough.

I would like to highly commend Meyer House for the care and end of life care they gave my mother. In December my mother deteriorated in health and unfortunately died. All the staff were kind, caring, respectful, professional and very loving. They supported her and also myself and my family; nothing was too much trouble while we sat with mum. I couldn’t have wished for better care for my mother. When she went into Meyer House she came from another care home where she was very unhappy and also traumatised. My mother worked in Meyer House for 17 years as a Night Carer, so it was wonderful when we got her transferred there. It took a few weeks for her to settle in, but when she did the change in her was amazing. So I would like you to be aware of the brilliant work the staff do. They gave us our mother, enabling us to enjoy another two years with her.

Mother moved from another home to Meyer House. At first, she was uncooperative and took a while to settle, but after the dedicated care, perseverance and understanding of the staff, she now seems more settled and contented. She enjoys all the efforts of the activities staff and enjoys great banter with the friendly staff. Mum is not the easiest person to pacify, but Meyer seems to achieve it.

My mother-in-law arrived at Meyer House Care Home about a year ago. It was a very difficult time for everyone, especially for a 95-year-old lady. Over the past year, due to the dedication of the staff, she has started to relax and enjoy herself. She enjoys her food as the kitchen staff have taken time to find her favourite foods. We would like to take time to thank all the staff and management for their support and friendly manner.

Staff are very attentive and look after the needs of residents well. There is always entertainment and interaction with the service users. I've been to some of these and the staff are always fun and get residents involved. Highly recommend.

I have been visiting my mum in Meyer House for over two years now. During this time, I have found it to be overall a place where loving care is evident. The Activities Team are amazing, providing a good variety of things to do, either in a group setting or one-to-one and take an active interest in the residents. I feel very grateful that my mum, who is 96 years old, is in Meyer House.

Whenever we visit unannounced, our resident friend at Meyer House is always in good spirits, happy and looks well cared for. The staff there are kind, helpful and patient and above all, caring. The place is spotlessly clean and tidy too, with stimulating events put on.
