Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home Testimonials

Now the lift is working, all I can say is what a difference in all aspects of Silverpoint. My dad is happy again as he can now access all areas of the home, moving around as he pleases independently. The team of amazing carers, as always, go above and beyond their duties making sure my dad's needs are always met. I look forward to seeing the home getting back to the homely place it once was d├ęcor wise.

Staff are very caring, friendly and understanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Always a welcome for visitors and open to discuss their resident's needs. So lovely to see our friend laughing.

The quality of care given to my Mother since she has been resident at Silverpoint Court has been first class. I have, in the course of my work, visited many care homes and very few appear to show the same standards exhibited.

All areas are very clean and bright, the staff are helpful and cheerful and treat the residents with respect, food is of a high standard. Only criticism is that there are times when the staffing levels seem low.

The care and help that my mum received whilst at Silverpoint was excellent. The carers were attentive and always had her best interests at heart. There was a warm and welcoming atmosphere and I was always welcomed with a smile. Whenever they were worried, they would call the doctor or district nurse so I had absolute confidence in leaving her in their care.

This home has a relaxed, homely feel to it. Its staff are courteous, friendly and show a passion for what they do. They care for the residents under their charge. The residents always appear happy and well cared for. The staff arrange a host of activities during the year to engage the residents and have occasional outings. Events involving outside organisations and companies are sometimes held, such as retail clothing, which allows the residents the chance to still experience life beyond the boundaries of the home. Personal services are also catered for by visiting hairdressers, chiropodists, manicurists and the like. All in all, after 4 years of care, it is still a place that I would recommend.

My mother has lived in this Home for 19 months. It began with six weeks respite care and moved into residential care. On admittance, there was a warm and sincere welcome and Mum was soon put at ease. Not an easy thing as she was suffering extreme panic attacks. She was unwell following a hip operation caused by a bad fall. She has a single room which is bright and clean and as she is bed-bound the staff pop in and out to give reassurance and cheery conversation. Her appetite improved and she appeared content and far less fearful. Although her health has worsened, she is 93, the wonderful staff continue to care for her as if she was their own mother. This for me is the greatest gift of all. Mum is always clean and tidy, has her nails painted, and feet are healthy and pampered. Her birthday was made special by the staff which again was so lovely to see. Me and my family are greeted with friendly overtures, which gives a feeling of family. There are never nasty odours!

My mum became a resident on the 9th October 2017. In this short time, I have seen a drastic change for the positive. Mum could not walk without a frame, now no longer needed. Her appetite has increased which has had a good impact with being insulin dependent resulting in levels that were 120% to now 64%. The carers/manager/office staff, do an amazing job and as we know it's more for the loves of the attendees than financial gain.

Silverpoint were very responsive to our request for a couple of weeks care for my father who was just discharged from hospital following a fall. The manager assessed my dad whilst in hospital in a rigorous but friendly manner and was very helpful about the uncertainty of a discharge date. The care at Silverpoint was very professional and knowledgeable and always performed in a dignified way as well as with a sense of humour and happy attitude. Overall, my dad's stay at Silverpoint was a relief both to him and his family.

My mother has been a resident at Silverpoint Court for a few years, she has Alzheimer's and by choice prefers her own company, so does not participate in the many activities and entertainment provided. She does, however, always have a smile for 'all' the staff who pass her during the course of the day, whilst carrying out their various duties. In return, they greet her affectionately both verbally and physically.

I found the home very friendly. Staff were kind and considerate. I will certainly come back next year, placement team permitting! My wife can go away and know that I am being looked after properly.

My mother has been at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Centre since May 2017. I looked at about 20 homes before I chose this one. Silverpoint Court Residential Care Centre is so homely, all the carers are so friendly and they really care, you feel at home there. I feel my mum is well looked after. It was a really hard decision to put mum into a home but I think I made the right decision - I would recommend this home to family.

My mother received outstanding care in the above home for nearly four years. In all of that time, I have visited at various times and all the staff no matter what the time, were efficient, pleasant and patient. I cannot praise the staff enough for the outstanding work they do.

I physically (and through websites) checked out every care home in the area before I decided on this one for my mother. My mum is precious to me and only the best is good enough. I spend a lot of time with Mum and witness every day the staff here caring for her like she was their own mum. I have complete peace of mind and confidence whilst Mum is here. Mum and I both consider all of the staff here to be our Silverpoint family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
