All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and kind...
My friend needed to stay in your care home for just two nights, in order to attend a family funeral some 200 miles from where she lives. Her care needs were complex, not helped by her almost total blindness. Being in a strange environment, surrounded by unfamiliar staff and residents, she was obviously felt very nervous and in a very vulnerable position. Your staff coped admirably. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and kind. The decor was light and airy, and most importantly very clean. The service you provided to me friend was very much appreciated.Bromley Park Care Home testimonials

I could not have wished for him to be in a better place...
My husband was taken to Hengist Field Care Home at the beginning of February this year, following three months in hospital. He is receiving excellent care and nursing and my family and I could not have wished for him to be in a better place. All the staff are friendly and helpful, always willing to sort any problems out and give us advice and reassurance when we need it. We know we won't have my husband back at home and Hengist is the very best we could wish for as his home.Hengist Field Care Home testimonials

It is a very nice place to be...
My sister has been at the Loose Valley Care Centre since Dec 2014. I have found the staff and management to be friendly, caring and capable. My sister has been able to go out when she chooses and has been provided with a small garden area of her own which she enjoys greatly. I have noticed many improvements to both the home and grounds. My sister has needed regular nursing care which was arranged. There are outings and activities. All in all, it is a very nice place to be.Loose Valley Care Home testimonials

It's little things that make a huge difference...
My Nan Irene was a resident here, until 3rd March this year when she sadly passed away. The staff were brilliant with Nan right till the end. I was able to be with Nan in her last moments, and the staff were amazing. They were very understanding and one even broke down with us at the time. It was so comforting to know they also cared so much. Nan had a lovely room with all she needed. They even allowed us to bring Nan in her favourite meal, fish and chips. It's little things that make a huge difference. Thank you for caring for Nan.Lukestone Care Home testimonials

Gill and her team could not have been kinder to Mum...
I am writing to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the love and care shown to my mother, Margaret Watts, who had been a resident at Meyer House since 31st January 2012 until she passed away on 5th May 2017.Meyer House Care Home testimonials
Gill and her team could not have been kinder to Mum throughout her 5 years at Meyer House. The care given to her and ourselves during her last few days was exemplary, a member of staff being at Mum’s bedside at all times.
Choosing a nursing home for Mum in 2012 was a difficult and emotional strain for us all, particularly as she did not want to leave the family home where she had lived for over sixty years. Unfortunately her health problems meant this was no longer possible. We visited a number of establishments, many operated by household names. However, when we came to Meyer House the warmth of Gill’s welcome, her passion for the Home and in providing a high quality, professional and most importantly personal service for all of her residents made our decision easy. It was the best decision ever made and one we have never regretted.
I know Gill very much operates a strong team ethic rather than focussing on individuals. We totally understand and respect this but would like to express our particular thanks to not only Gill herself but also to Brenda, Pauline, Pat, Julie and Sharon who could not have been more loving, kind and supportive to Mum and ourselves, particularly during the more challenging times.
I should also like to express my gratitude to Abi for the professional and helpful manner in which she dealt with the financial matters relating to Mum’s time at Meyer House.
Once again can I thank Nellsar Care Homes for the care and kindness given to Mum and ourselves and wish you all every success in the future.

I cannot thank them all enough...
My mother suffered Alzheimer's and spent the last 4 months of her life at Princess Christian. During that time all the staff were caring, thoughtful and considerate. They understand the needs of their tenants and how this terrible illness affects the friends and relatives of the sufferer. Every visit was met by a welcome from every member of staff, it did not matter if they were the admin, nurses, carers or cleaners. The smile and welcome was there. The offer of a drink or something to eat was also always on offer. We were kept informed of my mother's health by regular telephone updates as well as face to face chats when we visited. When the end was near the staff were there 24/7 with my mother so she was never alone. I cannot thank them all enough for helping us through a very difficult time.Princess Christian Care Home testimonials

My mother receives good attention at all times...
My mother has been at St Winifred's Residential Care Centre following a damaging second stroke in 5 years. She has use of a light and airy single room with ensuite facilities. The staff are very caring and helpful and although the home is quite small, my mother receives good attention at all times. She seems very happy here and we as relatives are happy for her. There is a good feel in the home and there are good deals on offer. Thank you.St Winifreds Care Home testimonials

We can see how much they genuinely care for mum...
It's great to see the changes being made to the home, it looks so much brighter and more welcoming since the refurbishment started and it is really nice that the gardens are being smartened up too. The staff in the home are fantastic, we can see how much they genuinely care for mum and just how hard they work. It would be good if there was the facility to take on more staff so that they are not so overstretched with their workloads. One thing we would like to see more of if at all possible, would be to have more frequent outings for the residents. Overall, we are very pleased with the level of care. The Old Downs Residential Care Home testimonials
