Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the team, for the fantastic firework evening. All the residents were included, given hotdogs etc. There was a lovely bonfire and the chance to have sparklers and toasted marshmallows. My mum, sister and daughter were welcomed and we all joined dad. He enjoyed it, became a bit tired but that's just him. It was lovely to be part of such a fun night. Well done!

Would highly recommend (and have) Bromley Park to anyone who has the worry of their loved ones having to go into care. The staff become like family, they show much love and care for your family member, my Mum has only been in a couple of months but it feels like she has always been there, when it was her birthday a beautiful cake was made and everyone gathered round to sing her "Happy Birthday". We are always told of how the day has been and the activity they have done, Mum's speech was not very good before but being with people that talk to her all the time she has made a happy progress. Although Mum is not aware of how good things are it is my Peace of mind she is looked after 24 hours a day.

I chose Hengist Field before my wife was admitted and I liked everything about it, i.e the staff, the cleanliness, the security, the outside gardens and the happy atmosphere that everyone seemed to have.

We have every confidence that my 101-year-old mother is looked after very well. As we live quite a long way away and are unable to visit very often, this gives much peace of mind. Mother is telling us all the time how good staff are to her and that they can't do enough for her. They really "went to town" on her 100th and 101st birthdays. We are grateful to all for the fact that she seems to be so happy.

My mother died of dementia in the home. Staff were very supportive as the end drew near. The "end of life" care provided a dignified, peaceful and managed passing for my mother.

In the short time my mother has been in Lulworth House I am convinced that she is in the best place for her needs and care. I have found the staff very friendly and caring. There are a lot of activities and entertainment to keep the residents happy.

My mother has been a resident for almost two years and is very happy there. She likes her room and other facilities and although she has to have a soft food diet, she is well catered for. Whenever we visit we always receive a very warm welcome from all of the staff whether its management, carers or cleaning staff. They all looked fantastic for Halloween.

My stepfather has been in Princess Christian Care Home for over a year and we have been very impressed with all aspects of his care and with communication by the staff. He can exhibit some very challenging behaviour but at no time have I ever heard the staff be anything other than polite and pleasant with him and all other residents. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.

Staff are very caring, friendly and understanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Always a welcome for visitors and open to discuss their resident's needs. So lovely to see our friend laughing.

Mum went to Sonya Lodge at the beginning of the year. It has been lovely to see her settled and happy in her new environment. This is wholly due to the care and kindness of the management and all the carers and even the kitchen and cleaning staff. She is treated as an individual, always referred to by name and her individual needs and preferences are catered for. When mum has required a doctor to visitor or ambulance to take her to hospital the carers have been prompt in taking action and updating me.

My mother's health took a turn for the worse and she needed to leave her flat in Ramsgate. She was in and out of hospital for several months had respite in a hospital. Went home and was back in hospital quickly. She went into another care home for several days but it was a desperate place. My wife found St Winifreds and mother moved there – thank god!

My mum has been in the Old Downs for nearly five years now. I can only praise the manager and the entire team for their care, support and dedication to all the residents needs. Their continuing support for both my mother and I has been amazing. I cannot thank them all enough in what at times has been very difficult circumstances.

My mum has only been in Woodstock for 3 months, in that period of time I have found Woodstock staff exceptional in their handling of any queries or concerns I have had, they understood our apprehensions with the new way of life for mum and the family. I have seen how very considerate and caring they are towards all the residents, I know my mum is safe. I did visit a few homes before choosing Woodstock but I did not like their clinical vinyl floors and lack of homely feeling. I chose Woodstock because the building is a 'proper' home, it is warm and welcoming with the décor and clean without having a clinical (hospital) feel. Right choice.
