Menopause symptoms
Everyone who journeys through perimenopause and menopause does so in their own unique way. There are many symptoms associated with the transition that can vary from person to person; symptoms usually start months or years before periods stop, and this is called the perimenopause.
Perimenopause and menopause symptoms can have a big impact on daily life, relationships, family life and work. At Nellsar, we aim to provide support and resources for everyone so that we may be compassionate to our colleagues. Explore the circle of possible common symptoms.

Menopause workplace pledge
The Menopause Workplace Pledge calls on employers like us to take positive action and support everyone affected by the menopause. In signing the pledge we are committed to: recognising that the menopause is an issue in the workplace and women need support; talking openly, positively and respectfully about the menopause; and actively supporting and informing all team members impacted by the menopause.
Women make up more than 70% of the Nellsar workforce and many are aged between 45-55. We are striving to support our female team members throughout this transition by raising awareness around the topic of perimenopause and menopause, while providing access to helpful online resources. By helping our colleagues to manage their health and well-being at this critical stage in life, we hope our cohesive approach will educate all our team members across our group of Care Homes in fostering a gender-equal working environment, and to support everyone in reaching their full potential.
