Better late than never!
I love our healthcare system and can see all the good we have within it. However, when it comes to women’s health advice and support, my personal experience has often left me feeling unsupported and underwhelmed.
The latest news about the Women’s Health strategy is a welcome effort. The Menopause Society stated that to mark the second year of the Women’s Health Strategy, the Health and Social Care Secretary has outlined the government’s key priorities for women’s health in 2024. These thankfully include problem periods, women’s health research and support for domestic and sexual abuse victims.
The 2024 priorities were developed from responses to the government’s call for evidence from over 100,000 healthcare professionals, women’s health champions, members of the public and other stakeholders across the health sector.
