To mark the 2020 Chinese New Year at Sonya Lodge Residential Care Home, Jo, our Well-Being Champion, with the support of many of our residents and staff, made a beautiful Chinese Dragon collage.
They created it from their colourful hand cut-outs (each individually named) – a ‘hand made‘ work of art if ever there was one!
We proudly displayed him in our lounge, together with an array of Chinese lanterns, decorations, bunting and balloons.
We also came together for an afternoon of sampling Chinese goodies including prawn crackers, fortune cookies and crispy springs rolls with chilli sauce – delicious!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, celebrating the new Chinese Year of the Rat.
