Our residents from The Old Downs Residential Care Home worked together to bake cookies from scratch on Wednesday 5 December.
With help from our Recreation and Well-Being Lead Vira – using instructions from the ‘Queen of baking’ herself Mary Berry – they baked her famous chocolate chip cookies.
Our ladies used flour, butter, eggs and most importantly, the chocolate chips! They combined their mixture, rolled it out and placed the cookies onto greased baking trays. Vira placed them into the oven and as you can see, they came out a beautiful golden brown colour and looked delicious!
Our residents enjoyed the cookies at tea time with a lovely cup of tea – scrumptious!
