I looked at 15 homes before I chose this one for my aunty, and I could not be happier with the choice I made. What a wonderful place. Fantastic, caring and supportive staff. Nothing is too much trouble and I know my aunty was happy here. The entertainment days were her favourite times – she adored the dancing and singing, joining in with great enthusiasm, and the photos I have of her smiling and singing I will treasure for the rest of my life. The food is good, visitors are always welcomed with a drink and cake when they come, the staff are always helpful and come over and chat to you. Her room was lovely, clean and bright with its own toilet, something you don’t get in all care homes and it was a really good size. My aunty passed away last week in hospital, and I cannot thank the staff at Sonya Lodge for the excellent care they took of her at all times, maintaining her dignity and ensuring that she smiled every day.
