We had to find somewhere for my mother at short notice last Autumn as she was discharged from hospital and could no longer cope on her own. The hospital found a place at St Winifred’s which we had imagined would be short term while we searched for permanent care (I have to admit my knowledge of St Winifreds dates from the 80s and trust me it has changed a lot). 8 months later and mum is still there, really happy, cared for, and most of all safe. The team at St Winifred’s are absolutely lovely, the atmosphere is caring and warm, I am so glad a place came up when we needed it. I would thoroughly recommend it.
