I visited and researched many care homes for my elderly Mum who has dementia. It was a very hard decision to make as I knew I was taking away her independence but it had become necessary for her safety. I called on Sonya Lodge one afternoon without an appointment and after being shown around by the manager I knew immediately it was the right place of care for Mum. The staff are very caring and friendly. Mum receives excellent care, she is very happy there and enjoys getting involved with the various activities.
